The series takes place in the aftermath of the Second World War, with characters dealing with some of the impact of that war on home, hearth, and family. Individual notes are in the specific books.
Grown Wise
Jim fought in the Second World War and is still coming to grips with the impact it’s had on him. Otherwise, the book deals with some anger at changes in the world, and the impact of generational trauma and family secrets. Discusses the impact of bombing and other damage on the land and land magic.
